About Kristian Filip
My Study Abroad
"I will be going to Nanjing, China for my study abroad semester in Spring 2017. I have studied Simplified Mandarin Chinese for 4 semesters so far, and I am currently taking my last, 5th Chinese Language Course at SUA. My program will last about 4 months, and I will have an option to stay with a local Chinese family, or to stay in a dorm with a Chinese roommate at Nanjing University. My semester abroad will include intensive Chinese language courses as well as weekly excursions to local Chinese landmarks."
Proposed by Students
"Soka students are volunteers, leaders, artists, athletes, scholars and so much more. We naturally incline to create positive change in our communities because we look for solutions and understanding. Our students actively cooperate with our faculty and staff to create the best and the most beneficial programs in our community. Many of our school programs and policies have been initiated by SUA students, and later adopted by the university."A World of Friends
"Soka University of America is such a melting pot, and it is one of the most inclusive places I have ever visited. We welcome all students of any nationality, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation or cultural background. Our current student body comes from more than 40 different countries, so making traveling plans just got so much easier."
