Manager of Community Services/Internships
Andy Marcos joined Soka University of America, Aliso Viejo as Coordinator for U.S.-Based Internships in April 2000. He also served as Chief of Protocol and met with Diplomats and Consulates in the early stages of Soka University. Marcos was named Admissions Coordinator for National Recruitment in 2002. In 2003, Marcos was named Manager of Community Services/ Internships. Marcos works closely with businesses, schools and non-profit organizations to establish internship opportunities for SUA students. He is also currently a part of SUA's enrollment services team.
Prior to coming to SUA, Marcos was an advisor for the MBA program at San Diego State University. He previously served as Marketing Coordinator for Alaska Premium Beverage, Business Development Manager for InSight Marketing and Senior Vice President for DJ International.
Marcos attended Glendale College and studied Business Management at Arizona State University. He also received specialized training in Operational Analysis with Boyd & Associates and served as a business analyst for six years in the fields of aerospace and high-technology.
Marcos is a member of the conference development committee for the California Cooperative Education & Internship Association; serves on the steering committee for the Volunteer Center of Orange County; is a member of the South Orange County Community Services Council; a mentor for Jack Orchards ALS Foundation and various other committees.
Marcos resides in Aliso Viejo, California. He is the proud father of two sons and one daughter.
