BCA Abroad
Duration:- Spring Semester (Jan - May)
- Fall Semester (Jul-Dec)
Requirements:
- GPA - 2.6
- At least 2 semesters of university-level Spanish
Academics:
- Students will be studying at a private American style university, University of San Francisco Quito (USFQ).
- Fall students are required to take a 4 week pre-semester course ‘Ecuador - Language and Culture'. This course offers intensive language training, along with information about Ecuador's history, culture and current issues.
Field Trips
- Galapagos Island for 4 days
- Amazon Trip for 4 days
- The Indigenous town and market of Otavalo for a long weekend
Housing
- Students will live with host families in order to further deepen your cultural immersion.
BCA - Quito

International Education for Students (IES)
Duration:- Spring Semester (Jan - Jun)
- Fall Semester (Aug-Dec)
Requirements:
- GPA - 3.0
- 4 semesters of university-level Spanish
Academics:
- Students will be enrolled in the Language & Area Studies Program.
- Students may take courses at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE), the oldest private university in Quito.
- IES Abroad Quito Area Studies students typically take 2 to 3 outside courses at PUCE.
- Students will gain unique cultural exposure and international work experience through internships or service learning placements.

Housing
- Students will live with Ecuadorian hosts in a private home in Quito.
