This is the first year that SUA has been eligible for the US News & World Report Best College Rankings because it was reclassified correctly in 2010 by the Carnegie Classifications from a “Special Focus” Institution to a “Liberal Arts College”.

Based upon these results, SUA is ranked among the top ten (#9) liberal arts colleges on the West Coast.

SUA President Daniel Y. Habuki, PhD, noted that Soka University is currently celebrating its 10th Anniversary and is one of the newest institutions surveyed.  “Although all college rankings are subjective, I appreciate all of the hard work our SUA community has put in to make this possible and look forward to continuing to advance our academic excellence into the future,” he said.
