Trio Da Paz with Maucha Adnet on Friday, September 23, 2016 at 8 p.m.
Trio Da Paz (guitarist Romero Lubambo, bassist Nilson Matta, and drummer Duduka da Fonseca) redefines Brazilian Jazz with adventurous interactions and dazzling rhythms. Program: tribute to Brazilian composer Antônio Carlos Jobim who brought the Bossa Nova sound to America. The Trio is joined by vocalist Adnet who toured with Jobim.
Trio Da Paz on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 3 p.m.
“Brazilian Vibes” is the theme for this performance featuring the Trio’s guitarist Romero Lubambo, who unites the styles and rhythms of his native Brazilian musical heritage with his fluency in the American jazz tradition. He is a gifted musical improviser with a steady stream of creative musical thoughts and the virtuosity to deliver them.
Trio Da Paz with Claudio Roditi on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 8 p.m.
Joining Trio Da Paz is the celebrated trumpet and flugelhorn player Claudio Roditi. This Rio-born player has been on the US jazz scene since 1970 and is known for his warm, fluid sound combining post-bop and Brazilian elements to every tune he plays. Roditi was nominated for the Best Latin Jazz Album Grammy Award in 1995 and 2010.
Geoffrey Keezer & Friends on Sunday, September 25, 2016 at 7 p.m.
Keezer’s singular style of intellectually abstract lyricism woven over exotically complex rhythms and harmonies earned him three Grammy nominations. The pianist is joined by musicians with whom he’s worked on various albums, including vibraphonist Joe Locke, Hawai’ian slack key guitarist Keola Beamer, and vocalists Denise Donatelli and Gillian Margot.

Current series package holder renewals will begin on May 9, 2016 using our online renewal system. Current package holders will receive a special renewal email notice with instructions and a link to renew their current seats. Current package holder seats will be held for renewal until July 6, 2016. After that date, seats that are not renewed will be released for general sale. Click here for renewal instructions.
Online Package Sales for new package subscribers will begin on June 6.
New series package requests will begin on June 6, 2016. An email notice will be sent out to all Soka Performing Arts Center patrons just prior to that date.
Package Sales end the day of the first performance in the series. At that time you may Create Your Own Series with these and other events.
Single-Event Tickets go on sale July 6.
Tickets for individual events (Single-Event Tickets) will go on sale July 6, 2016. At that time, you may purchase any or all of the individual performances.
