Tom Harrell Quartet - Moving Picture Tour

Legendary trumpeter Tom Harrell’s latest project is a quartet comprising long-time associates Danny Grissett on keys, Ugonna Okegwo on bass, and Adam Cruz on drums. The studio recording of the album Moving Picture was made in the south of France in September 2016 for release last year. The repertoire boasts some of Harrell’s most daring and mind-blowing compositions to date.

Grammy- and Emmy-nominated recording artist Beasley leads a smashing big band project which captures the spirit of Thelonious Monk’s singular style. With its off-beat melodies, humor, and unbounded swing in fresh arrangements flavored with hints of New Orleans, hip-hop, Afro-Cuban, and atmospheric rhythms and colors, the group pays loving tribute to the master’s music while infusing it with contemporary energy.

Under the direction of trombonist Delfeayo Marsalis, and anchored by Dirty Dozen Brass Band founder Roger Lewis on bari sax, Uptown Jazz Orchestra sings and swings with confidence and soul. Performing blues and standards that combine riff-playing, spontaneous arrangements, and the New Orleans second-line groove, UJO keeps the old school jazz traditions alive.

Current Package Holder Renewals begin on May 8.

Current series package holder renewals will begin on May 8, 2018. Current package holders will receive a special renewal email notice with instructions and a link to renew their current seats. Current package holder seats will be reserved until June 5, 2018. After that date, seats that are not renewed will be released for general sale. Online Renewal Instructions

Online Package Sales for new package subscribers will begin on June 12.

New series package requests will begin on June 12, 2018. An email notice will be sent out to all Soka Performing Arts Center patrons just prior to that date.

Package Sales end the day of the first performance in the series. 

Single-Event Tickets and Create Your Own Series packages go on sale July 10.

Tickets for individual events (Single-Event Tickets) will go on sale July 10, 2018. At that time, you may purchase any or all of the individual performances. You may also Create Your Own Series by selecting four events from our Season calendar.
