About the talk:
Lauren Ng (Class of 2019, Environmental Studies) has pursued a career in sustainability and is excited to chat with current SUA students about what it is like to work in this field. Any job can be a sustainability job, and the skills/experiences acquired are widely applicable across many fields - so students of all concentrations and backgrounds are encouraged to attend!

About the speaker:
As a student, Lauren helped SUA achieve STARS Silver certification and piloted the Sustainability Peer Educators program. After graduating in 2019, she joined the SEI Climate Corps fellowship program and worked on communications and energy efficiency projects at UC San Francisco. In 2020, she became a Scientific Program Assistant for the Foundation for Food and Agriculture where she learned how public-private partnerships could help accelerate research in sustainable food production, urban agriculture, and public health. Currently, Lauren works as a Sustainability Coordinator for Scripps College where she analyzes sustainability data, engages students in problem-solving, and develops initiatives for enhancing efficiency, funding, and collaboration.
