Clinicians, educators, parents, and researchers often use the term neurodivergent to describe children whose mental or neurological functions differ from what is considered typical. But who decides what is "normal" and what is not? Many in our society may be wary or fearful of those who are different. We however have the capacity to create a more compassionate and humanistic environment for children, enabling them to explore their unique strengths and creativity and thrive.

Join us for a discussion with Dr. Jain on neurodiversity and how we can provide kind, respectful care for all children and help them flourish in their individuality.

Dr. Jain graduated from Lala Lajpat Rai Medical College and did her pediatric residency at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. She conducted an observership with the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford and has a certification from the STAT-MD training for early autism diagnosis from Vanderbilt Kennedy TRIAD center. She has also recently joined an inaugural fellowship program with Stanford University's Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics in addition to her full-time practice in the Seattle area.
