Eric Bjornlund is president of Democracy International and teaches in the graduate program at Georgetown University. He has worked at the National Democratic Institute, the Carter Center, and the Woodrow Wilson Center, and is the author of Beyond Free and Fair: Monitoring Elections and Building Democracy.
His talk will review the field of international development assistance, with an emphasis on programs in support of democracy, human rights, and governance, and peace and resilience. He will also offer advice and answer questions about job opportunities and careers in international development and foreign policy.
