Dr. Lawrence E. Carter, Sr. is Professor of Religion, College Archivist and Curator at Morehouse College and a member of the Board of Trustees of SUA. He is the founding Dean of the Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel at Morehouse College, in his 45th year. Dedicated to interfaith dialogue, Dr. Carter has spoken to Jewish, Islamic, Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, and New Thought Spiritual communities. He is also the author of Walking Integrity Benjamin Elijah Mays, Mentor to Martin Luther King Jr, and A Baptist Preacher's Buddhist Teacher: How my interfaith journey with Daisaku Ikeda made me a better Christian.

He has been involved in peacemaking and conflict resolution dialogue for over four decades around the world.
