"Selma" is a historical drama based on the events of the 1965 Selma to Montgomery voting rights marches. May we never forget the sacrifices African Americans have made to secure basic freedoms. Food and discussion to follow after the film screening. This is a heavy subject and film, so prepare to receive and shoulder some of the pain depicted in the film. Soka students, faculty, and staff welcome. Dinner provided from a local Black-owned restaurant. Dinner included FREE with RSVP. Priority given on a first-come, first-served basis.
