Ikeda College – Undergraduate Studies
SUA offers a study abroad program at Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú in Lima through IFSA. This program is best suited for students with higher-level Spanish.
Location
Lima is the capital of Peru and lies on the country’s pacific coast. It has a metropolitan population of more than 12 million.

Art
Lima is home to the country’s highest concentration of museums, with focuses from art to science to religion.

Food
Known as the “Gastronomical Capital of the Americas,” Lima is internationally-recognized for its coffee, chocolate, and ceviche.
Overall, I had a great experience. I’m so appreciative for this amazing opportunity to study abroad and I grew a lot.
Program Characteristics
This program is only offered in the fall semester, which takes place from mid-August to mid-December.
- 2.5 GPA
You will take two required courses including a Peruvian social reality course which allows close work with NGOs. You also have the option to take a specialized academic concentration focusing on gender studies.
You may take excursions to ancient ruins sites such as Machu Picchu, Caral, and Pachácamac.
You will live with a Peruvian host family which provides two meals a day Monday through Saturday and one meal on Sunday. Additional meal allowance is provided by SUA.
