Student organizations are an integral and exciting part of student life! Soka has a wide variety of clubs and affinity groups from which they can engage, from performance groups to social advocacy groups, as well as student government.

Music performance clubs have been created by students to showcase various music styles and genres.

Dance For a Cause Club

Dance Clubs

Dance Clubs have been created by students to share cultural significance of dance in their respective cultures to the student body.

Athletic Clubs

Athletic clubs in the past have included archery, Aikido martial arts, cheerleading, beach volleyball, Kendo martial arts, badminton, baseball, and basketball.

Business and STEM clubs in the past have included Physics club, Pre-Health club, Social Entrepreneurship and Economic Development (SEED), Soka Strategic Investment Group, Soka Consulting Society, The Aristotelians, and Model UN.

Andrea Vazquez | Sualseros

“Sualseros has formed an integral part of my Soka experience. I have been able to combine my passion for dance and my love for teaching and mentoring. In Sualseros, I have been able to expand my dance skills and also share those skills with others. I have loved seeing my fellow club members grow as dancers. Most importantly, Sualseros has given me a space to share a love for dance with people who have become part of my family at Soka. There isn’t a practice session that is not full of laughter and memories—ones that I will never forget.”

“The experience of being involved in VLPO was amazing and unforgettable. One thing I learned is to cherish the music skills of every single member. In VLPO, some members have been playing instruments for a couple years, while some only started playing recently. However, we all have a passion for music, so we always help each other and improve together. It was very motivational to be in a group and strive for a common goal, and we all gained a lot from the experience.”
