Ikeda College – Undergraduate Studies
SUA offers a study abroad program at Universidad de Salamanca through ISA. This program is suited for students of all language levels.

Location
Salamanca is in northwestern Spain, about two hours from Madrid. It has a population of about 150,000.

Architecture
Sandstone colored buildings fill the city, earning Salamanca the nickname of La Ciudad Dorada (The Golden City).

Climate
Salamanca has a mild Mediterranean climate, with cool winters and dry summers due to the altitude.
My study abroad experience in Salamanca, Spain, was by far the best four months of my life filled with excitement, opportunity, and lifelong friendships.
Program Characteristics
The fall semester takes place from late August to mid-December. The spring semester takes place from late February to mid-June.
2.5 GPA
Soka students are required to take a one-month intensive Spanish course followed by a Spanish and language course track. Volunteer teaching opportunities are also available.
You will live with a Spanish host family and may be expected to share a bedroom with another ISA student.
